On Monday December 14 , 2020 Toby & Shannon Shannan attended the Branch 244 Executive meeting and presented Branch President Jim Boldt and Poppy Chairman Stacey Niceliu with a $14 ,000 cheque to cover the cost of Perth’s Cenotaph repairs.

The donation from the Shannan’s was being made in Memory of Bill Shannan , WW2 RCAF.

The Shannan’s had contacted Poppy Chairman, Stacey Niceliu early in the Poppy Campaign wanting to make a donation, When they heard of the Cenotaph repairs needed, Shannon immediately said the family foundation would cover the entire cost of the repairs. Shannon said the family will be pleased to know that every November 11th that they played a part in keeping the memory of all our soldiers intact, much like the cenotaph.
